Conference of officials, employees and review of trade union work in 2020 of the Investment Promotion Agency

On December 28, 2020, with the agreement of the Branch Party Committee, the Leaders of the Investment Promotion Agency, the Trade Union of the Investment Promotion Agency successfully coordinated to organize the meeting of officials and employees.

Attendees of the Conference were Mr. Pham Hoai An - Chairman of the Provincial Official Trade Union, Party Committee, Leaders of the Committee and all trade union members of the Investment Promotion Agency.

The conference’s view

At the conference, officials and employees listened to the report on assessment of trade union activities in 2020, the direction of implementing tasks in 2021 of the Trade Union Board, and representatives of the People's Inspection Committee reported on the results of activities in 2020 and operational directions in 2021. The contents of the reports have comprehensively assessed the implementation of programs and plans in accordance with Resolution No. 181/NQ-CDVC dated December 25, 2019 and the Work Program the focus of 2020 of the Provincial Public Employees' Union, closely coordinating with the expertise to implement “Improving the quality of grassroots trade union activities”, continuing to innovate contents and modes of operation, contributing to well perform the functions and tasks according to the theme of the agency and the province in 2020: “Improving the quality of the contingent of cadres, civil servants and public employees and ensuring sustainable economic growth”.

In addition, the Trade Union groups contributed presentations at the conference on continuing to implement "Strengthening administrative discipline, building a cultural and civilized lifestyle" and "The role of the Committee in the work of taking care and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees",...and received comments from the union members, the Presidium absorbed the discussed contents and in the coming time continued to promote the role as a bridge between union members and professional leaders, regularly paying attention to capture thoughts, aspirations and share, timely motivating to ensure officers and employees feel secure in their work.

A speech at the Conference

In 2020, due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Board’s Trade Union actively coordinated with the agency to implement measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic and constantly innovating in terms of content and methods to implement assigned tasks for investment promotion, guidance, reception and handling of administrative procedures ensuring the correct process, and activities to support businesses and investors to be cared for and implemented synchronously. In addition, coordinating in propaganda about the 3rd Party cell congress, term 2020-2025, welcome the 15th Quang Ninh Provincial Party Congress, towards the 13th National Party Congress.

Along with that, the Trade Union of the Board has cooperated with professionals to continue to make contributions to investment promotion and investment support, contributing to improving the business investment environment, enhancing the competitiveness of the province, making a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of Quang Ninh province, specifically the outstanding and creative results of 2020, the PCI 2019 provincial competitiveness index leading the provinces and cities in the country. (For 3 consecutive years, ranked 1/63 provinces and cities); The initiative in presiding over the implementation of the Department and District Competitiveness Index (DDCI) has created competition and emulation in terms of management quality among the administrations of districts, towns and provincial cities and departments. It has confirmed the efforts, solidarity and determination of the union members of the Investment Promotion Agency, and is highly appreciated by the Party Committee and Professional Leadership.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Hoai An - Chairman of the Provincial Union of Employees, and Mr. Vu Thi Kim Chi - Deputy Head of Investment Promotion Agency assessed and recognized the achieved results over the past year and closely directed trade union activities. At the same time, the comrades also wished that the Executive Committee of the Trade Union would make more efforts to build up the trade union activities to grow stronger in the coming year.
