The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has coordinated with localities to advise on the implementation of plans to develop high-tech agricultural zones and high-tech forestry zones in Quang Ninh province in the 2021-2030 period.

As of October 15, 2023, the whole province has 469 agricultural cooperatives, total (9 months of 2023, there are 36 newly established cooperatives). Thanks to that, the province also gradually formed and developed concentrated commodity production areas associated with the brand and program "One Commune, One Product - OCOP".

Relevant sectors and localities also strongly implemented Resolution No. 313/2020/NQ-HDND dated December 9, 2020 of the Provincial People's Council on a number of financial mechanisms to encourage and support organizations and businesses. , individuals in science and technology activities in Quang Ninh area in the period of 2021 ¬- 2025. Currently, the whole province has 336 OCOP products from 13 localities achieving 3-5 stars; 219 production entities participated, including 54 businesses, 87 cooperatives, and 78 production households. In the province, there are 7 products participating in the evaluation and classification of OCOP products at the national 5-star level. Currently, the Central Appraisal Council is organizing the evaluation and classification. To date, the province has had one more product that has been recognized as a national 5-star (Quy Hoa yellow flower tea - Quy Hoa Import-Export Trading and Services Co., Ltd.).

To promote the circulation of agricultural products, in the 10 months of 2023, Quang Ninh has organized 5 provincial-level OCOP fairs; Localities organize 7 OCOP fairs combining trade, the Vietnamese Fair prioritizes the use of Vietnamese goods. The province also organized 2 conferences to connect trade and consumption of agricultural products and OCOP products between Quang Ninh province and Can Tho province... Thereby bringing positive results and sustainable development prospects for the province's OCOP products. . Quang Ninh has had 76% of OCOP products with 3-5 stars or higher posted on e-commerce platforms Postmart.vn and Voso.vn.

Currently, the province is effectively implementing projects and models, such as: High quality rice production following VietGAP direction; applying drone technology to agricultural production in Quang Yen town; building the VietGAP pork farming model, linking cooperatives with the value chain and building OCOP products in Cong Hoa commune (Cam Pha city); raising BBB crossbred cows for cyclical reproduction in Dong Trieu town; biosafety commercial geese farming and building an organic grafted anise growing model for processing and export in Binh Lieu; White leg shrimp farming in 3 stages ensures food safety associated with product consumption in Quang Yen town...

Quang Ninh has formed a safe, concentrated agricultural commodity production area and maintains 1,070 hectares of VietGAP certified growing areas; 45 hectares of organic farming land certified for organic agriculture; 94 hectares of high quality Japonica and ST25 rice; 420 facilities apply advanced quality management programs; 46 medicinal herb growing areas were granted codes; 6 fresh fruit packaging facilities.

The agricultural sector proactively coordinates with localities to support businesses in expanding the scale of livestock and poultry herds. Thanks to this, livestock and poultry herds are maintained and developed. The province's total output of meat for sale in the first 9 months of 2023 will reach 101,500 tons, an increase of 5.04% over the same period in 2022. In the province, there are currently 16 aquatic breed production and nursery establishments operating; Thereby, in the first 9 months of 2023, more than 2,500 million breeds have been produced.

Attention to attracting investment from organizations and individual businesses into agriculture in the province has contributed to promoting the development of agricultural, forestry and fishery production. The growth rate in the field of agriculture, forestry and fishery in the area in the first 9 months of 2023 increases by 4.19%. The lives of people in rural areas are increasingly stable and developed.
