Bac Phong Sinh border gate resumes customs clearance activities
On September 26, import and export activities through Hai Ha district’s Bac Phong Sinh border gate (Vietnam) and Dongxing city’s Li He border gate (China) returned to normal after 7 months of temporary suspension.
The first track importing goods from China went through this pair of border gates on the first day of customs clearance.
Previously, the Bac Phong Sinh had suspended customs clearance since February 24 as China tightened its anti-Covid measures.
It is reported that 2 tracks importing goods from China went through this pair of border gates on the first day of customs clearance.
Two border gates have currently strictly implemented all defined regulations on Covid-19 prevention.
Quang Ninh, which shares more than 118km of land border and 191km of sea border with China, is located at the start of the countries’ “Two Corridors, One Belt” economic cooperation zone, in the Nanning - Singapore Economic Corridor, and the expanded Gulf of Tonkin inter-regional cooperation area under the ASEAN - China Free Trade Area.
The province has been working to gradually establish itself as a “gateway” for cross-border trade between Vietnam and China, thus contributing to bilateral economic ties.
