Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee met and worked with Chief Representative of JETRO Hanoi and leaders of Foreign Investment Department (Ministry of Planning and Investment) in Hanoi

On the morning of October 5, 2021, Quang Ninh Province organized a meeting and working program with the Chief Representative of the Japan Trade Promotion Organization in Hanoi (JETRO Hanoi), the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, Foreign Investment Agency - Ministry of Planning and Investment to discuss cooperation in promoting and supporting Japanese investment in Quang Ninh province. On the side of Quang Ninh province, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Van - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - chaired the meeting with leaders of the Investment Promotion and Support Department, Department of Foreign Affairs. On the side of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, there was Mr. Do Nhat Hoang - Director of the Foreign Investment Department. On the Japanese side, there were Mr. Takeo Nakajima - Chief Representative of JETRO Hanoi and Deputy Heads of Representative, Mr. Yamamoto Kohei - Second Secretary, in charge of Economic Department, Embassy of Japan in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Van - Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee informed the leaders of JETRO Hanoi, Foreign Investment Department the results achieved by Quang Ninh Province in epidemic prevention and control, maintaining a safe, stable location and a smooth investment and business environment for investors, creating momentum to maintain the province's growth in the new context. Continuing to identify Japanese organizations and investors as strategic and important partners; Mr. Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee wished that on the basis of the Scheme on promoting cooperation and attracting investment from Japan, the interest of Japanese organizations and enterprises in the province; representatives of JETRO Hanoi and the Foreign Investment Agency continue to pay attention and support Quang Ninh province to successfully organize the Japan Investment Promotion Conference, Quang Ninh province is expected to be held in November 2021.

Also at the meeting, Mr. Takeo Nakajima - Chief Representative of JETRO Hanoi and Mr. Do Nhat Hoang - Director of Foreign Investment Department highly appreciated and recognized the rapid and positive transformation of Quang Ninh province over the past time thanks to the investment in infrastructure development, to make the most of the strengths from the natural landscape, the potential from the economic zones and industrial zones of the province to contribute to the sustainable socio-economic development of the province. The leaders of the agencies highly appreciate and appreciate the active support of the leaders of Quang Ninh province and the coordination from departments, branches and localities of the province in creating favorable conditions for foreign experts and investors to enter Vietnam through Van Don airport.

Currently, there are investment projects and Japanese entrepreneurs and partners come to live, work and make a long-term dedication in the province, helping the cooperation relationship between Vietnam - Japan in general and Quang Ninh province - Japan in particular, to be increasingly close, sustainable, spreading strongly to the business communities of both sides.
