Despite being heavily affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, over the past time, Quang Ninh has still attracted more large investors to Quang Ninh. That success is thanks to the active contribution of the Investment Promotion and Support Board (IPA) in Quang Ninh.

In 2020, IPA Quang Ninh always strives and is determined to innovate and be creative in all promotion activities as well as investment support, accompanying businesses and localities. Despite being heavily impacted by the Covid-19 epidemic, the number of applications received still increased by 15.8% compared to 2019. The projects mainly invested in the fields of tourism, services, and manufacturing. industry, located in Ha Long, Cam Pha, Quang Yen.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Van, Head of Investment Support Department, IPA Quang Ninh, said: Following the direction of the province, we have developed a work plan and forecast key and key tasks of investment support. Investment with investors who want to learn and invest in Quang Ninh. Along with that, implementing the Government's resolutions on improving the business and investment environment and enhancing competitiveness. We always actively follow up from the drafting stage of the resolution to promptly advise the leaders of the Board to report to the Provincial People's Committee to promptly issue effective plans and programs to implement goals and tasks.

Thanks to strong changes, breakthrough and creative ways of doing things, in 2020 there are 44 projects that have requested approval of investment policies to be received and handled by IPA. In which, 23 projects have reported to the Provincial People's Committee; 18 proposed IPA projects for approval; 12 projects were approved by the Provincial People's Committee, issued investment policy decisions, with a total investment of nearly 1,900 billion VND. IPA has also received 75 research and planning applications for projects from domestic and foreign investors; Currently, 58 dossiers have been resolved, moving to the stage of requesting approval of investment policy in the next phase.
