Corporate culture - An important factor determining success on the digital transformation roadmap at PC Quang Ninh

In 2021, implementing the year theme "Digital Transformation in Vietnam National Electricity Corporation", Quang Ninh Power Company (Quang Ninh PC) has focused on synchronously implementing digital transformation in many fields in order to improve operational efficiency, increase labor productivity and bring optimal benefits to customers using electricity.

When it comes to digital transformation, technology may be the first factor that comes to mind for many people. However, in in-depth analysis, technology is not the most important factor leading to the success of an enterprise, but corporate culture. Since corporate culture has a very strong impact on all aspects of activities if it can create consensus and spread, but this will also be a hinder if we have not changed the perception of employees. Therefore, in order to successfully implement a digital transformation, business leaders must call for the consensus of employees and have the right orientation on corporate culture.

Quang Ninh PC employees participated in the international conference "Digital Transformation Journey - Lessons and Experiences" organized by EVN.

For businesses, corporate culture is the environment for digital transformation. Therefore, the success in the application of new technologies depends greatly on the employees' positive attitudes and thinking, the willingness to modify the way of working and the learning spirit of the employees. Along with that, businesses need to have appropriate mechanisms to promote change and move forward; at the same time, step by step upgrade and improve new applications. Without training a system of employees to access software and master technical tools, no significant transformation of digital transformation takes place.

At PC Quang Ninh, in order to lay the foundation for the digital transformation, the company has been building the foundation of corporate culture to adapt to the change of businesses; coordinate between the cultural background, people, processes and tasks of each employee to ensure the synchronization between factors when going hand in hand with technology development. In particular, the Board of Directors of the company is a pioneer team in building a standard style, intuition in proactively approaching and implementing the digital transformation roadmap. This creates a strong promotion effect on the digital transformation mentality of employees.

Up to now, PC Quang Ninh has established a Steering Committee to implement the digital transformation plan in all areas of operation in the period of 2021-2022, with an orientation to 2025 with specific tasks of each month and each quarter…, combined with the evaluation criteria of periodic performance results. In which, digital transformation in the field of business and customer service is the implementation priority of the digital transformation process.

On the other hand, the company has also regulated propaganda and training for employees to understand the inevitability of digital transformation, in order to further improve their learning, as well as their qualifications, and equip knowledge skills to improve the quality of human resources. Currently, PC Quang Ninh has implemented a number of solutions in human resource training, building a culture of digital transformation and culture of non-stop learning.
