To create a competitive advantage in attracting investment projects, Quang Ninh province has promoted the development of a seaport system in industrial zones and economic zones in the area.

Quang Ninh has 16 industrial zones in the planning for development of industrial zones up to 2020 and the general planning on construction of economic zones approved by the Prime Minister (of which there are 10 industrial zones in the area of ​​economic zones). Currently, there are 10 projects of investment and business in infrastructure of IZs in 8 IZs which have been decided by competent authorities and granted investment registration certificates.

In the province, there are also 2 coastal economic zones (Van Don coastal economic zones, Quang Yen coastal economic zones) and 3 border gate economic zones have been established. In recent years, the investment in the construction of a seaport system in industrial zones and economic zones in the area has always been focused.

Currently, the service of leasing warehouses, loading and unloading goods... in Quang Yen coastal economic zone, Mong Cai border gate economic zone, Bac Phong Sinh border gate economic zone, Hoanh Mo - Dong Van border gate economic zone is gradually formed and invested. synchronized. There have been a number of projects to develop seaports and seaport services in Quang Yen area after Quang Yen coastal economic zone was officially established, such as: Yen Hung liquid cargo port project; LPG storage, Xuan Truong Hai, Nosco, Bac Tien Phong Industrial Park, Nam Tien Phong Industrial Park, Bach Dang Industrial Park...

The province has mobilized resources outside the state budget to develop wharf areas, ports and post-port logistics service areas... In the period of 2019-2022, the Provincial People's Committee approves investment policies and at the same time approves investors or investors. granted investment registration certificates for 5 projects related to the field of seaport infrastructure and warehouses, yards and logistics in economic zones and industrial zones, with a total investment of about 11,016.3 billion VND. 100% are domestic investment projects. Currently, investment projects in the field of seaports and seaport services in Quang Ninh in general and in industrial zones and economic zones of the province in particular are entitled to investment incentives in accordance with current laws. .

Along with that, Quang Ninh also promotes the construction of an infrastructure system connecting to industrial zones and economic zones such as: Van Don - Mong Cai Expressway, connecting route from Phong Hai intersection to Nam Tien Phong industrial park, project road project connecting Viet Hung Industrial Park with Cai Lan Industrial Park; continue to implement projects: Construction of Dam Nha Mac intersection, Ha Long Xanh intersection and high-speed riverside road connecting Ha Long - Hai Phong highway with Dong Trieu town... to create more favorable conditions for traffic. commodity trade.
