Hai Ha tea is one of six products that orientate the development of national OCOP products of Quang Ninh. The whole district currently has nearly 770ha of tea cultivation, with the tea production value in 2021 reaching VND 25.4 billion, accounting for 10.9% of the total production value of the cultivation industry. In order to preserve and develop this brand, over the years, local authorities have always closely accompanied tea growers and processors to gradually improve product quality.

To further expand the goals and solutions, at the beginning of 2022, the District People's Committee had a direct meeting with the consulting unit, the Northern Mountainous Agro-Forestry Science and Technology Institute, on the project implementation. restructuring the tea industry in the period of 2022-2025. Within the framework of the project, the district's agricultural sector will focus on implementing key tasks, including: Supporting tea intensification according to VietGAP standards to create material areas for high-quality tea processing; transferring the intensive cultivation process and granting certification to VietGAP intensive tea areas; planting 5ha of new varieties of Huong Bac Son tea according to organic standards; certification of organic standards for 3-5ha of existing tea plantations.

Not only in the coastal area, in the highland communes of Hai Ha such as Quang Son, Quang Thanh... the forest economic models are also focused, associated with the goal of increasing the area of large timber plantations which are native species. such as ironwood, filling, gioi, flower slices, pine. Specifically, the district is focusing on directing functional units and localities to develop and implement a plan to plant production forests, trade in large timber and convert small timber forests to large timber in the 2021-2025 period with the goal of increase the value of production and business of planted forests. Clearly identifying natural advantages and locating market needs have helped Hai Ha district have clear and effective orientations and solutions in restructuring agricultural production. This is a solid foundation, promoting the development of local strengths, contributing to the overall development in the area.
