Exchange of letters to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Netherlands relations
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte exchanged congratulatory letters on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands (April 9, 1973 - April 9, 2023), on April 8, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte exchanged congratulatory letters.
50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Vietnam and the Netherlands have built a good relationship of friendship and cooperation.
The relationship between the two countries is considered a typical example of a dynamic and effective relationship, developing in all fields of politics-diplomacy, economics, education-training, defense-security. .. and going deeper and deeper.
The two countries established a Strategic Partnership on Climate Change Adaptation and Water Management (October 2010), and a Strategic Partnership on Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security (June 2014). . These are areas where the Netherlands is strong and Vietnam has many similarities.
In April 2019, Vietnam and the Netherlands established a comprehensive partnership./.
