As planned, by June 30, all 100% of businesses must use e-invoices.

The e-invoice applied nationwide is an important milestone in the process of accelerating digital transformation, modernizing and simplifying administrative procedures of the tax sector, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses, towards successfully complete the task of collecting the budget. As of May 24, the whole country had 764,314 enterprises, equivalent to 92.6% of the total number of enterprises and 52,778 business households and individuals doing business according to the declaration method registered and converted to use e-invoices.

With the goal that by July 1, all taxpayers who are using invoices as prescribed in Decree 51/2010/ND-CP regulating invoices for selling goods and providing services will switch to using e-invoices according to the provisions of Decree No. Under the provisions of the Law on Tax Administration and Decree No. 123/2020/ND-CP on invoices and documents, the Ministry of Finance has approved the organization, implementation and application of e-invoices according to a 2-phase roadmap.

Phase 1 in 6 provinces and cities (including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Binh Dinh, Phu Tho) from November 21, 2021; Phase 2 in the remaining 57 provinces and cities from April 2022.

“Currently, the Tax sector has applied QRCode for taxpayers to export right on smartphones, so it is very convenient. The time to respond to an e-invoice from the tax authority system is 1/10 second. According to the General Department of Taxation, when all taxpayers use e-invoices, the number of e-invoices in a year is expected to be 6.5-7 billion invoices, an average of 400-500 million e-invoices per month, "Deputy said. The implementation of e-invoices will contribute to transforming the way of serving people, management and organization of tax authorities in an automatic direction in order to reform administrative procedures, create facilitation, reduce costs, increase operational productivity of the enterprise; At the same time, it also contributes to transforming the method of managing and using invoices in production and business activities, promoting the development of e-commerce and helping to save costs for businesses and society.
