In particular, new generation FTAs, such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) or the Vietnam Free Trade Agreement. - The United Kingdom (UKVFTA) is being implemented comprehensively and effectively.

The EVFTA Agreement, after more than a year of implementation, has shown significant contributions to the economic development between the two sides and the growth of Vietnam. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in 2021, exports to the EU will reach about 40.07 billion USD, up 14%. From January 1 to December 26, 2021, authorized agencies and organizations have issued 201,846 sets of C/O form EUR.1 with a turnover of more than $7.8 billion to 27 EU countries. In addition, enterprises exporting goods to the EU also perform self-certification of origin for 5,217 shipments with a value of more than 16.5 million USD, enjoying preferential tariffs under EVFTA. This shows that many Vietnamese businesses have paid attention to take advantage of opportunities from the EU's tariff reduction under EVFTA.

Not only the EVFTA, the UKVFTA Agreement, which was implemented from the beginning of 2021, also helps the bilateral trade relationship between Vietnam and the UK not to be broken in the context of the UK leaving the EU, with two-way trade reaching nearly 6 per cent. 6 billion USD and the value of import and export both increased by double digits (exports increased by 15.4%, imports increased by 24.1%). Need to be more proactive

Although there have been "sweet fruits" from the effective use of FTAs, however, Vietnamese goods still account for a modest proportion compared to the proportion of imports of these markets. Mr. Nguyen Canh Cuong said that UKVFTA has created new thrusts to help Vietnamese businesses have a more competitive advantage. If the enterprise can maintain the trust of its customers and consistently fulfill its commitment to delivery and quality assurance, the market share of Vietnamese goods in the UK will gradually increase in the coming time.

For agricultural products, although in 2021, it has been exported to most of the EU members, the market share of Vietnamese agricultural products in the EU market is still small, exported mainly in raw form, competitive in price in the EU market. short. In 2022, bilateral and multilateral FTAs, in which the "super agreement" RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) has just come into effect from January 1, 2022, continues to be one of the impetus to support Vietnam's economic growth.
