According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Trinh, Deputy Director of Hon Gai Port Customs Branch: This is a very high increase compared to the 2022 Lunar New Year, when the import-export turnover of the 2022 Lunar New Year holiday was only over 3 0.8 million USD and tax revenue reached about 623 million VND. The reason for the high increase in state budget revenue is that during this Lunar New Year, there is a shipment of imported petroleum that goes through customs procedures through the Sub-Department. As for statistics from the beginning of 2023 to the end of January 26, the import and export turnover and revenue through the Hon Gai port border gate Customs Branch also increased strongly compared to the same period in 2022. Specifically: The number of declarations reached over 2,100 sheets, total import-export turnover reached over 607 million USD (up nearly 10% over the same period in 2022); tax revenue reached nearly 1,300 billion (up 652% over the same period in 2022).
