IMMEDIATELY CONSTRUCTION OF VAN DON - MONG CAI EXPRESSWAY

Up to now, it has just been exactly one year that Quang Ninh launched the 500-day campaign to open technical traffic on the entire Van Don - Mong Cai expressway, so the project has gone 2/3 of the time, progress is being evaluated. Planned price guarantee.

In which, the 63km Tien Yen - Mong Cai route is divided into 20 bidding packages (11 road packages, 9 bridge packages), currently the construction bidding packages for the 59,509km road have been completed and filled with K95 embankment, reaching over 90%. K98 foundation and crushed stone has been built for 3km, it is expected that in November 2021, the construction of crushed stone will be completed to switch to asphalt matting to complete the road surface. In the bidding packages for bridge construction, contractors are focusing on construction of underground items such as bored piles, abutments, bridge piers; at the same time organize the casting of beams in place. Particularly, the Ka Long 2 bridge connecting the highway with the Bac Luan border gate II has completed construction of 138/138 piles, 8/8 pillars and 2/2 abutments. Contractor is focusing on construction of beams, completed 38/66 slabs.

As for the Van Don - Tien Yen highway with a length of 16.08km, contractors are currently concentrating on constructing a series of items at 14 construction points. Van Tien Bridge connecting Van Don district with Tien Yen district is urgently constructing bridge piers and will be determined to complete the work in October 2021, 2 months earlier than planned.

On the construction site of the whole route, the construction atmosphere is very positive, contractors are mobilizing human resources and vehicles, equipment and machinery 1.5 times more than the original bid. In addition to applying new technology, reducing time, the contractor organized many construction crews in succession in all 3 shifts; sign contracts for timely supply of materials to the construction site, in order to reduce the delay time due to lack of materials; make detailed work chart by day, follow the total project progress.

Therefore, ensuring the progress and effectively implementing the emulation target of 500 days and nights is very important for Quang Ninh province in particular and Vietnam in general. This is a proof that Quang Ninh has always been an attractive destination for investment, with modern and synchronous infrastructure, which is a typical development in the country.
