Improve collective economic efficiency in the new period

Implementing Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW (June 16, 2020) of the Central Executive Committee "On continuing to innovate, develop and improve collective economic efficiency in the new period", up to now Quang Ninh province has achieved many positive results.

On December 21, 2022, the Provincial Party Executive Committee issued Action Program No. 22-CTr/TU to implement Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW. Thereby aiming to improve the organizational and operational capacity of the collective economic sector, especially agricultural cooperatives, associated with building new rural areas and restructuring the agricultural sector; further promote the role of connection, cooperation, and support for members and the community; Build close links, diverse and sustainable cooperation between cooperative groups (THT), cooperatives and other economic entities.

According to data from the Provincial Cooperative Alliance, the whole province currently has 3 cooperative unions, 643 cooperatives, 210 cooperative groups; in which the agricultural sector accounts for 70% of the total number of cooperatives and cooperatives. Average revenue is 650 million VND/cooperative, 270 million VND/THT; Average profit is 290 million VND/cooperative; The average income of cooperative workers is 68 million VND/person/year, THT is 39.6 million VND/person/year; The total registered capital of the 3 cooperative unions is 66.1 billion VND. Although they have just started production and business activities, cooperative unions have gradually proven their effectiveness, leading the core collective economic role of cooperatives to develop links in a sustainable direction.

Hoa Phong High Quality Agricultural Service Cooperative (Dong Trieu Town) was established in 2010 with 7 members. By 2014, the cooperative changed its operations according to the 2012 Law on Cooperatives. The cooperative currently creates jobs for hundreds of rural workers with stable income. Ms. Le Thi Tha, Director of the Cooperative said: The Cooperative always cares about product quality and food safety. The cooperative produces in a closed dual chain from selecting breeds, production processes, care, preservation to bringing to market. The cooperative currently has key products: safe vegetables, rice, tapioca, dried onions... In 2022, the cooperative will produce about 700 tons of agricultural products, with revenue of nearly 300 billion VND.
