"Sweet fruit" from the poverty reduction program

Up to this point, Quang Ninh has reached the finish line of the National Target Program (NTP) for sustainable poverty reduction in the 2021 - 2025 period 3 years ahead of schedule according to the Central criteria. The whole province currently has 102 poor households, accounting for 0.026% of the total number of households in the province; 2,454 near-poor households, accounting for 0.635% of the total number of households in the province. The province has no poor districts or poor communes; there is one locality, Ha Long City, with no poor or near-poor households; 3/13 localities (Quang Yen, Co To, Van Don) no longer have poor households; In 9/13 remaining localities, the poverty rate is below 1%.

With the current multi-dimensional poverty rate in the province of 0.026%, Quang Ninh is only behind Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria - Vung Tau, becoming the earliest destination in the country in terms of poverty reduction .
