Introducing Quang Ninh agricultural products on the e-commerce platform
The promotion of consumption and distribution of OCOP products of the province through large and modern e-commerce platforms is being interested by many businesses in the province. This is considered a new direction, expected to open the "door" to reach further for the province's OCOP products in the current 4.0 era.

The "key" to expand the market
E-commerce floor is the place where online buying and selling activities of businesses, organizations and individuals take place on the same website. According to statistics of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the growth of Vietnam's e-commerce market is at the highest level in the past 3 years; in 2020, the scale of e-commerce in Vietnam reached 5 billion USD, the growth rate was 81%.
Taking advantage of this trend, many businesses in the province quickly completed procedures and connected with e-commerce floors to sell. Newstar Co., Ltd. is one of the pioneers in bringing products to major domestic distribution channels such as Voso, Tiki, Sendo, Postmart... Ms. Cao Hong Van, Director of the Company, said: The company has perfected procedures to put its products on sale in distribution channels. The company has now signed sales and distribution contracts with e-commerce platforms like voso.vn, sendo.vn, postmart.vn with Vanbest shrimp paste, Cai Rong fish sauce, salted shrimp and sea cucumber, fried squid with sea cucumber, son tinh – thuy tinh spring rolls, fried swamp-eel mixed with cuttlefish. Currently, all of the Company's products on e-commerce platforms are known by many customers; Revenue from e-commerce floor is about over 100 million VND/year. In the coming time, the Company will continue to complete the procedures to put the products on other e-commerce floors in order to expand the consumption market and distribute more widely to consumers.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Thanh, owner of Bao Khang Cordyceps Production Facility (Ha Long City), shared: For Bao Khang in particular, and other production and business enterprises in general, the completion of procedures to bring their products out of the "village pond" through major domestic e-commerce floors is essential. Bao Khang's products have been sold on teqni.gov.vn and postmart.vn. Bao Khang has completed the procedures and list of products that having the need to be distributed according to the instructions and is waiting for feedback from major domestic e-commerce floors, thereby helping the establishment to meet more customers, have opportunity to exchange information with units in the same manufacturing industry throughout the country to continue to improve the quality and position of products...
Accompanying with businesses
Quang Ninh has set a target that by 2025, 55% of the population will participate in online shopping. To accomplish this goal, the province will focus on developing and perfecting the e-commerce infrastructure in the online transaction support system, integrating payments, e-invoices, solutions to verify transaction information, deploying a dispute resolution center, combined with secure payment, online management system for delivery and order fulfillment services. Along with that, assigning functional agencies to synchronously organize the connection between online e-commerce businesses and traditional distribution businesses, manufacturers, through the following programs: Safe food distribution, online promotions, promotion programs, conferences to connect businesses and e-commerce floors... to strengthen cooperation in the business community and strengthen consumers' confidence in e-commerce transactions.
As the province's shopping site, since its establishment teqni.gov.vn has been effective in expanding the distribution market of OCOP products in the province. This is considered a premise for businesses to gradually focus on putting their products on major domestic e-commerce floors. According to statistics from the Provincial Center for Industry and Trade Promotion and Development, there are currently 223 Quang Ninh OCOP products being loaded on teqni.gov.vn. Since the beginning of the year, there have been nearly 2,000 orders, of which about 88% were transferred to businesses to make transactions.

Most recently, in order to support businesses to promote connection and product consumption on major domestic e-commerce floors, the Department of Industry and Trade held a conference to connect the consumption of OCOP products, typical products of Quang Ninh province through "Vietnamese stalls" on e-commerce floors in 2021. At the conference, enterprises in the province and large distribution units such as Tiki, Sendo, Soso.vn, Shoppee... had the opportunity to exchange and learn about business development in the online environment. Representatives of e-commerce floors directly guide the process and method of distributing goods, preferential policies built by e-commerce floors, in order to best support businesses that want to put their products on e-commerce floors.
