MAINTAIN PRODUCTION PACE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

22/06/2021

The Covid-19 epidemic has brought many industries, fields and activities to a halt. Difficulties add more difficulties. However, anywhere, it is still easy to see the bustling production rhythm, the steady sound of the machine, the crisp sound of the whistle mixed with the images of masks, thermometers, and bottles of hand sanitizer.

In the first months of 2021, the Coal industry had an unfavorable start when facing a series of difficulties. The outbreak of Covid-19 has directly affected the mines. The coal consumption market has not shown signs of recovery yet. The source of input materials and equipment is interrupted. This has a great impact on the production and business activities of the entire industry. Upholding the tradition of "Discipline and Consensus", with the bravery of workers and flexible solutions, the coal industry has quickly adapted to the actual situation, both in production and in epidemic prevention.

At open-pit mines, the work of lowering the main pit to get maximum coal before the storm comes is a top priority. To accomplish this task, the mines are mobilizing the maximum capacity of transport, loading and unloading equipment, working 3 shifts continuously. Continuing to realize the dual goals, the mines have maximally applied information technology in production management. Currently, many open-pit mines such as Deo Nai, Cao Son... have organized shift deliveries using online command software. This method has promoted positive effects, especially in the epidemic situation, by limiting the concentration of people, saving time, and increasing machine productivity.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien, Manager of Transport Workshop 4, Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin, shared: Cao Son Coal is one of the pioneers in applying online command software. Not only restricting large gatherings and shortening procedures, the online ordering also reduces shift delivery time from 1.5 hours to 30 minutes. This makes an important contribution to improving labor productivity.

With the underground production block, the mines continue to promote the efficiency of mechanization in each stage of work, improve productivity, and ensure the set targets, such as investing in improved excavators ML01.0.09, market furnace excavator, replacing wooden anti-kite with frame price...
