Mong Cai border gate handles 1 million tons of cargo
Year-to-date figure up an impressive 77% year-on-year.

Mong Cai International Border Gate in northern Quang Ninh province had handled more than 1 million tons of cargo this year as of September 4, a year-on-year increase of 77 per cent, according to the border gate’s Customs Bureau.
Total revenue from cargo imports and exports via the border gate in the first eight months of the year reached $2.1 billion, up 5 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Of the total, exports were valued at $1.4 billion, mainly fruit, seafood, and nuts.
To help facilitate import and export activities, the border gate’s customs officials have regularly held dialogues with businesses to identify solutions to tackle obstacles.
