Mong Cai City: Decisively disbursing public investment capital from the beginning of the year

Since the beginning of the year, Mong Cai city has actively developed and issued an action plan to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital in the area. Accordingly, the key tasks and solutions are to focus on completing investment procedures for new construction projects; accelerate the clearance of the site; remove difficulties and obstacles related to land and resources; urging and speeding up the construction progress; carry out pre-acceptance test, make payment documents as soon as the volume is available and speed up the settlement of completed investment projects.

Ka Long 3 bridge project, belonging to the coastal road project linking Van Don economic zone with Mong Cai border gate economic zone, the section from Cau Voi to provincial road 335 (phase I) will be transitioned from 2022 with a route length of 4.76km , the scale of grade IV plain road. This is an important project, contributing to the completion of the regional traffic network as planned, forming the main route connecting Van Ninh seaport zones and clusters to border gates and bilateral economic cooperation zones in Vietnam. To ensure the project progress, the contractor is focusing on urgently mobilizing machinery, vehicles, and organizing construction stages to speed up the project. According to the public investment plan in 2023, Mong Cai City has 29 transitional projects from 2022 that are continuing to be under construction. To ensure the progress of these projects, the City People's Committee directs the Investment and Construction Project Management Board and specialized departments to closely coordinate with contractors to solve difficulties and problems during project implementation. , especially investment procedures, site clearance. At the same time, ensuring the priority of allocating capital for key projects such as: Project of the coastal road linking Van Don economic zone with Mong Cai border gate economic zone; Coastal road linking Van Don economic zone with Mong Cai border gate economic zone, the section from Cau Voi, Van Ninh commune to provincial road 335 (phase 1); to build and upgrade Tran Phu High School.

Along with speeding up the construction progress for transitional projects, Mong Cai City also directed specialized departments and divisions to focus on completing investment preparation for new projects starting in 2023. Of which, 13 projects have been approved for technical and economic reports. Currently, the Board is completing the appraisal dossier and submitting it to the City People's Committee for approval of the contractor selection plan. In 2023, the public investment capital plan of Mong Cai city is over VND 663 billion, of which the provincial budget is VND 255 billion.
