Mong Cai City: Determined to complete the title goal

In 2021, Mong Cai City sets out key solutions to successfully implement socio-economic development targets, in which, continues to focus on effectively implementing "dual goals", while preventing and fighting the epidemic. With the determination of both the political system and the people, Mong Cai City defines the work theme for 2021 as "Keeping the safe area and growth momentum in the new normal; accelerating the development and perfecting a synchronous and modern socio-economic infrastructure system, ensuring overall connectivity. The city has set goals, targets, tasks and solutions to focus on directing, operating, determined to strive for the highest results.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Mong Cai City, in 2020, despite facing many difficulties due to the influence of the Covid-19 epidemic, with the synchronous and effective implementation of solutions in epidemic prevention and control, as well as the development economic development, the locality has achieved positive results in all aspects. The production value of all economic sectors reached more than 18,418 billion VND. Total import-export turnover reached 2,728 million USD, of which, export reached 1,148 million USD, import reached 1,580 million USD and attracted 235 new businesses, bringing the total number of enterprises operating in import and export through the area to 625 businesses, an increase of 40% compared to 2019. Import and export tax collection reached more than 1,200 billion, up 15.9% compared to 2019.

Up to now, the city has achieved 5.22/8 criteria; 20.67/27 indicators on new rural construction (NTM) improved; there are 12 standard rural villages, 61 standard gardens, 1,435 model households. Van Ninh and Bac Son communes met the criteria of advanced rural communes. Total state budget revenue reached 2,536,956 million VND, equaling 92.8% compared to 2019, of which domestic revenue reached 541,139 million VND, revenue from the customs sector reached nearly 1,200 billion VND.
