The coastal road project linking Van Don Economic Zone with Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone is being urgently completed by contractors.

According to the report of the City People's Committee, in 2022, the total investment and development capital in the city will be 801 billion VND (20 billion central budget; 260 billion VND provincial budget; 521 billion VND city budget). ), has been allocated to 52 works, projects and investment items.

Typically, the project of connecting road from Van Don - Mong Cai expressway to Van Gia port (Van Ninh) will be implemented from April 2021. This is a key traffic infrastructure project, the driving force of the city in particular and Quang Ninh province in general. The route has a length of 9.5km, connecting point with Van Don - Mong Cai highway in Ninh Duong ward; end point at Km9+500, Van Ninh commune; total investment of over 520 billion VND from the provincial budget. In 2021, the project has disbursed 100% of the capital plan; In 2022, the project is arranged with a capital plan of 155 billion VND, disbursed 35 billion VND.

The project of a coastal road linking Van Don Economic Zone with Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone, the section from Voi bridge to provincial road 335 Mong Cai city (phase I) will be started in 2021. The route is 4.76km long, with a scale of 4.76km. plain grade IV road, total investment of 352 billion dong from the provincial budget. To ensure the project progress, the contractor is urgently mobilizing machinery and vehicles, organizing 4 construction projects: 3 constructions for the embankment of K95 road and culverts on the route; The remaining cape will construct the bridge over the Ka Long river.

Project of renovation and repair of Tra Co coastal promenade, total investment of 153 billion VND, invested by the City Construction Investment Project Management Board. Up to now, dredging of vegetation has been basically completed for the whole route, embanking the road and laying lighting cables, constructing the embankment tray foot on the sea side.

The project of renovating and upgrading the road from Hai Tien commune - Ho Trang Vinh to the Po Hen border guard station (Hai Son commune), with a total investment of 156,548 billion VND, scale of grade V mountainous road, 22.95km long. Up to now, the project has completed 95% of the workload; The Department of Transport has approved the connection of the intersection at the two ends of the route.
