Opening of the 20th China-ASEAN Expo
On September 17, at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center, Guangxi, China, the Opening Ceremony of the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO 2023) took place. Attending the opening ceremony were Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh and senior leaders of China and ASEAN.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the 20th China-ASEAN Expo, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: ASEAN countries, including Vietnam, always recognize China's important contributions in promoting cooperation. cooperation and common prosperity in the region. Vietnam supports cooperation and assistance in the spirit of openness, sincerity, trust, equality, connecting the belt and road for common prosperity of peoples in the region and the world. Vietnam wishes to continue with China and ASEAN countries to urgently complete negotiations to upgrade version 3.0 of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement; upgrading road and rail transport infrastructure connections; Piloting and expanding the smart border gate model to better meet the investment, business, trade, culture and tourism needs of the business community and people of each country. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed that China and ASEAN countries strongly promote balanced and sustainable development of bilateral trade, striving to make ASEAN China's first trade partner to exceed a turnover of 1,000 billion USD.
