Catching up with that trend, Quang Ninh is promoting the development of the digital economy to increase production value, improve growth quality, quality of life as well as the province's competitiveness.

In recent years, the implementation of the development of the digital economy has received special attention from Quang Ninh. In the first 6 months of the year, the province has focused on expanding the e-commerce market for OCOP products, now the number of OCOP products with 3 stars or more has been posted on the e-commerce platforms Postmart.vn and Voso.vn is 177/267 products. Some products have not been put on the floor because they have a short time of use or a small quantity, so there is no need to sell on the e-commerce platform.

In addition, businesses and units are also making efforts to deploy an electronic invoice system. Up to this point, there have been 9,327 businesses and organizations registered to use e-invoices, reaching 100% of eligible units to register to use e-invoices. Quang Ninh is one of the first six provinces and cities to successfully implement the phase 1 electronic invoice system. Thereby, creating maximum conditions for businesses, shortening the payment time.

According to Mr. Vu Duc Minh, Deputy Director of Ha Long Bay Tourism Management and Guidance Center (Ha Long Bay Management Board): The implementation of digital economic activities, specifically the digitization of tickets to visit Ha Long Bay , paying for sightseeing tickets by scanning QR codes is an inevitable development process, also part of the digital transformation tasks that Quang Ninh province has been directing and implementing. In the coming time, in order to catch up with digital transformation, the Ha Long Bay Management Board will digitize the information system, deploy an automatic ticket control system, and travel virtual assistants using artificial intelligence. AI... to create maximum conditions for businesses and visitors, to build a modern and civilized tourism business environment in Ha Long Bay.

Besides digital transformation in service business, the province has also invested and deployed a digital border gate platform. Currently, the Department of Information and Communications is coordinating with relevant agencies and units to research and test the digital border gate model at Mong Cai International Border Gate (Bac Luan Bridge Area II, Mong Cai City) before when replicated to other border gates in the province.

The basic goal of Quang Ninh is that by 2025, the proportion of the digital economy will reach at least 20% of the province's GRDP; the proportion of the digital economy in each industry or field shall reach at least 10%; the average growth rate of social labor productivity is over 11%/year; the proportion of e-commerce in the total retail sales reached over 10%; the rate of enterprises using e-contracts reached 100%. Striving for the whole province to gather 50 digital enterprises, of which at least 3 enterprises start-up, innovate and develop digital products and services; the percentage of small and medium enterprises using digital platforms is over 50%; the percentage of digital economy human resources in the labor field reaches over 2%; 100% of individual business households and enterprises have access to and ability to use digital platforms. The province also built a centralized information technology park "Ha Long ICT Park" in Tuan Chau International Tourist Area (Ha Long City) to become a "Data Port" and an Innovation Center in the North.

Particularly in 2022, Quang Ninh aims to account for 8% of the GRDP in the digital economy. In which, the processing and manufacturing industry accounts for 40%; mining accounts for 30%; the digital economy of trade accounts for 10%; energy 10%; agriculture 5%; seaport - logistics 5%; 40% of small and medium enterprises use digital platforms; 100% of businesses use electronic invoices. The proportion of e-commerce revenue in the total retail sales of consumer goods and services in the province accounts for 10%; 100% of OCOP products, key agricultural products and 80% of provincial agricultural products are traceable and traded on the e-commerce platform.

To realize that goal, the province is first focusing on promoting the digital transformation of large enterprises in key economic sectors such as industry, processing, manufacturing, mining, energy, and agriculture. , intelligent traffic and logistics, digital border gates, tourism, border gate economy...

Mr. Pham Van The, Chairman of the Provincial Business Association, shared: To develop the digital economy, it is necessary to develop digital businesses. In the coming time, the Association will coordinate with other departments, especially the Department of Information and Communications. Information and Communication to promote the implementation of the program to support small and medium enterprises in the province in digital transformation; building and implementing synchronously an index to assess the level of digital transformation of enterprises, thereby being a measure of the effectiveness of programs and plans to support enterprises in digital transformation; have preferential policies, encourage enterprises to make efforts to increase the level of digital transformation, technology application, e-commerce...
