Mr. Ma Di Nong, Party cell secretary, head of Ban Chuong village shared: There are 108 households in the village with over 500 people. The spillway is the main route for people in the village to travel up to the district center. In the rainy season, when spring water overflows to the former route, it is often flooded, traffic is divided, significantly affecting the daily life of people. Now the road is invested by the district with the newly built box culvert and the road has been renovated and expanded, everyone in the village is very excited. People were assured because traveling was convenient. Many households have thought of new economic development directions when traffic is more secure.
Along with the box culvert in Ban Chuong village, in 2021, Binh Lieu district has researched and deployed to invest in building a system of box culverts and paths to replace 12 overflow roads in the district with a total length of over 2.2km, a total length of over 2.2km. investment level is over 56 billion VND in communes: Dong Van, Vo Ngai, Luc Hon, Huc Dong, Dong Tam and Binh Lieu town. Up to now, many works in the district are being put into use, promoting efficiency such as: 10km long Binh Lieu - Huc Dong route project; the project of road construction connecting to 104 villages and hamlets in the district is nearly 150km long; bridge through the Hoanh Mo border gate (Vietnam) - Dong Trung (China) and leveling the infrastructure of Hoanh Mo border gate economic zone; renovating sidewalks, drainage ditches on both sides of National Highway 18C in the area of Hoanh Mo border gate, the section from Km48+200 to Km48+400m; upgrading and renovating the road from the district health center to the national highway 18C; renovate and upgrade the intersection of the inner-town road intersecting with Na Cop bridge and the road from Dong Van Medical Station to Dong Van Commune People's Committee...
The gradually completed transport infrastructure system has become a driving force and great expectation for people in the area. The increasingly synchronous development of transport infrastructure is also an important premise for Binh Lieu district to implement effective directions for tourism and agriculture development. Up to now, the district has promoted the potential and advantages of tourist routes and attractions in the area such as Khe Van waterfall, Mooc river; terraced fields in communes; border landmarks..., gradually shaping clearly tours, tourist routes, synchronous tourism development planning; create conditions for businesses to invest in building infrastructure works for tourism in the area, turning tourism into a direction of sustainable development.
On the other hand, the district focuses on developing commodity agriculture, in the direction of promoting agricultural production models along the value chain.
