In July 2021, the Covid-19 epidemic broke out and spread simultaneously in many provinces and cities across the country. In Quang Ninh, the province continues to give the highest priority to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, taking care of and protecting people's health; successfully implement the motto "3 first", "4 on the spot", actively, proactively, from afar, from early, from the grassroots; quickly isolated, "locked up", immediately extinguished the outbreaks... Therefore, up to now, Quang Ninh has still maintained the area of ​​"Safe - Stable in the new normal", quickly restored the areas. socio-economic activities, stabilizing people's life. Specifically, the industrial development index IIP increased by 6.72% over the same period, in which, the processing and manufacturing industry was still a bright spot when it increased by 34.7% over the same period; total retail sales of goods and services increased by 6.1% over the same period; import-export turnover increased by 11.6% over the same period; revenue from transportation, warehousing and transportation support services increased by 11.3% over the same period.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also suggested speeding up the formulation of the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; formulating and adjusting the Ha Long City Master Plan to 2040, with a vision to 2050; completing the project of functional zoning planning of Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone... At the same time, improving the efficiency of land use, preventing land speculation and wasteful land use; strengthen management and overcome land degradation; review the planning of landfills and waste treatment stations to completely solve the problem of backlog of waste.

Essential markets need to be well controlled; focus on supporting production, consumption, promoting export markets; closely coordinate with the Coal industry to completely solve difficulties; improve the efficiency of investment attraction, accompany enterprises in implementing legal procedures, soon put projects into production for export growth.

Along with that, continuing to strengthen administrative reform, maintaining the position of 4 indicators including: provincial competitiveness (PCI), administrative reform (PAR Index), measuring people's satisfaction about public administration service (SIPAS) and provincial governance and public administration efficiency (PAPI).

The units also need to prepare well the contents of the next People's Council report directly related to the province's 2021 growth target; pay attention to ensuring social security and welfare, especially for disadvantaged people in the area due to the influence of the Covid-19 epidemic.
