According to the report of the consulting unit, the project on developing organic agriculture in Quang Ninh province to 2025, with a vision to 2030, aims to restructure the province's agricultural industry towards sustainability; exploit and bring into full play the potentials and strengths of organic agriculture; step by step form organic agricultural production areas with key products, with high productivity, quality and added value, great competitive advantages, ensuring conformity with Vietnam's organic agricultural standards. The goal is that by 2025, the area of ​​organic arable land will reach about 1% of the cultivated area for key crops of the province. Output accounts for about 1.5% of the total output of key products of the province. The scheme is to convert about 3% of the conventional crop production area for the province's key crop products to organic production, creating a foundation for the development of organic agricultural production by 2030. The percentage of organic livestock products is about 1% of the total livestock products for the province's key livestock products. The area of ​​organic aquaculture is about 0.5% of the farming area for some products with specific strengths of the province. The ratio of organic production to the total output of medicinal plants and non-timber forest products on the list of key products of the province is about 70% for the form of natural exploitation and at least 30% for that of the province. with intensive farming. The added value of organic agricultural products compared with non-organic production reaches 15% or more.

By 2030, the area of ​​organic arable land will reach about 1.5% of the arable land for key crops of the province. At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee also listened to the consulting unit's summary report of the project on developing a chain of key agricultural products at the provincial level in the period of 2020 - 2025, with a vision to 2030. Accordingly, the list was determined. 19 key agricultural products of the province, including: 6 products in the field of cultivation, 4 products in the field of livestock, 5 products in the field of fisheries and 4 products in the field of agriculture.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Pham Van Thanh asked the departments, branches and localities to closely coordinate with the consulting unit to continue researching and completing the projects.

As for the organic agriculture development scheme in Quang Ninh province to 2025, with a vision to 2030, he asked to clarify the importance and feasibility of the scheme. The consulting unit must survey and properly assess the current production status and soil conditions, in order to choose the right concentrated organic agricultural production area, ensuring its suitability and long-term stability. Develop a plan to manage organic agricultural products, ensure transparency, avoid mixing products that do not meet organic standards. Establish a traceability system for organic products at each stage of production, processing and consumption. Building distribution channels, consuming organic agricultural products at restaurants, shops and large supermarkets. Promote the building of models linking production - processing - consumption of agricultural products between enterprises, cooperatives and farmers. To attract and encourage enterprises operating in the agricultural sector to participate in organic agricultural production. Continue to promote the transfer and application of scientific and technological advances, associating organic agricultural production with the national target program of building new rural areas in the province.

Regarding the project on developing a chain of key agricultural products at the provincial level in the period of 2020-2025, with a vision to 2030, Mr. Pham Van Thanh requested the consulting unit to work closely with localities to determine production areas, from which, there is a plan to adjust the land use planning. Clearly define processing conditions, consumption directions, mechanization capabilities and application of scientific and technological advances to each type of key agricultural product.
