Provincial social insurance: Strong digital transformation to serve people and businesses

With the application of information technology (IT) platform covering the whole system, Quang Ninh Social Security has been undergoing a drastic digital transformation to effectively serve people and businesses when participating in social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance.

Since 2015, the provincial social insurance agency has implemented an electronic transaction method throughout the industry's system, in order to create favorable conditions for units and enterprises to participate in social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance.

As an enterprise specializing in building and repairing iron-hulled ships, cruise ships, and shipping, Nam Phat Shipbuilding and Shipping Joint Stock Company (Quang Yen Town) currently has 130 employees. Previously, each time to handle procedures related to social insurance and health insurance regimes and policies, the company's administrative staff had to go directly to the social insurance agency of Quang Yen town to work , so it took a lot of time and expense. go.

Since 2018, the company has implemented an electronic transaction method, the officer in charge only needs to sit at the workplace to perform declaration operations with the social insurance agency of Quang Yen Town. In a very short time, the relevant procedures were completed. According to Ms. Vu Thi Hong Van, administrative officer of Nam Phat Shipbuilding and Shipping Joint Stock Company, applying electronic transactions creates many advantages for the unit, shortens working time, and reduces development costs. born.

In the past time, the provincial social insurance agency has promoted the application of IT in all processes and operations of the industry, ensuring data safety, network security, increasing accuracy, and minimizing direct work. Currently, the whole system of Vietnam Social Insurance has connected and connected with nearly 13,000 medical examination and treatment facilities; more than 500,000 organizations and enterprises use public services nationwide; 100% of administrative procedures of the service sector provide services at level 4 on the Public Service Portal of the industry and the National Public Service Portal.

By the end of May 2022, the province has over 8,400 units participating in social insurance, of which 7,300 units have registered for electronic transaction methods, accounting for 88% of the total number of units and enterprises. In the first 5 months of the year, the provincial social insurance agency received over 58,000 applications, most of which received and returned results via electronic transactions.

In early 2022, the provincial social insurance agency has applied a set of procedures in accordance with the list of online public services for administrative procedures under the jurisdiction of the Vietnam Social Security, including 63 public services. Thereby, creating favorable conditions for people in handling social insurance procedures through electronic transaction methods, without having to go directly to the social insurance agency.
