Quang Ninh businesses drastically implement preventive measures against Covid-19

Following directives from the Government and the Provincial Party Committee, businesses in the province have proactively assessed the situation and formulated a pandemic prevention and control plan on ensuring the safety in factories and production workshops to adapt to the new normal situation.

Hon Gai Coal Company carried out Covid-19 testing for those returning from other provinces and cities.

With a large number of workers and many special production and business activities, Vietnam Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) has actively supplemented and developed a pandemic prevention and control plan associated with production conditions in each workshop and mining pit in a state of safe adaptation, flexibility, and effective control of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Especially, the Group has directed its affiliates to proactively arrange human resources, purchase and install Covid-19 prevention and control equipment. Moreover, massive testing has been conducted for all production stages, groups, and teams in workshops, underground mines, coal production units. TKV Group aimed to identify the situation, timely detect F0s, thereby preventing the virus from spreading on a large scale.

Hon Gai Coal Company has spent over 2 billion VND purchasing Covid-19 prevention and control equipment, including quick test kits. On Nov.14, Hon Gai Coal Company promptly detected a SARS-CoV-2 positive case through quick tests and PCR tests for all returning from other provinces.

Meanwhile, at Sao Vang Company Limited (Uong Bi City), due to the correct assessment and identification of the situation, after the occurrence of F0 cases in some production workshops, the company timelily reported and closely coordinated with local authorities to trace and isolate infected cases and relevant people. So far, all production and business activities have been restored, associated with a strict assurance of regulations on pandemic prevention and control. The company has currently operated 50% of production lines in 4 departments with more than 2,300 workers.

At Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park, investors have actively developed plans and scenarios to scientifically and effectively prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic. In particular, the businesses operating in Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park have actively purchased antigen quick tests and real-time PCR for proactive testing.

Production activities are still ongoing in the new normal situation.

Particularly at Texhong Ngan Ha Science and Technology Co., Ltd., in addition to fundamental equipment such as temperature meters, protective clothing, and hand sanitizer, the company has purchased over 18,000 antigen quick tests and 1,000 real-time PCR tests to proactively undertake Covid-19 testing for staff and workers.

This is the first time Quang Ninh has had a case of F0 in factories and enterprises, especially in industrial zones since the 1st wave of this pandemic. However, the province has currently controlled the situation. In particular, businesses have changed their thinking and acted drastically, and actively developed plans and scenarios. This result has helped businesses to improve and enhance their capacity to prevent and control the pandemic, protect their production chain, contributing to the successful implementation of the economic growth target with the province in 2021 and the following years.
