Quang Ninh OCOP fair to open on November 26th
The One Commune, One Product (OCOP) fair is going to be launched in the evening of Nov.26 at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center in Ha Long city.
OCOP Quang Ninh fair aims to promote the consumption of products, and creates a premise for the development of services.
The event will be jointly organized by the provincial People’s Committee and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at 7.30pm on November 26 at the outdoor stage of the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center.
The fair will include 250 standard kiosks displaying and selling nearly 1,200 typical OCOP products from 34 provinces and cities nationwide. There are also 10 booths promoting e-commerce activities and 5 booths introducing large distributors’ various promotional programs in response to "National Promotion Month 2021 - Vietnam Grand Sale 2021".
Goods displayed, introduced and sold at the fair are diverse and abundant, ensuring standards as prescribed. The stalls are conveniently arranged both inside and outside the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace, including: stalls displaying, introducing and selling OCOP products; seafood products in Quang Ninh province; typical products of provinces and cities nationwide; the exhibition booths of products of craft villages, handicrafts, ornamental creatures...
According to the organizing board, a range of Covid-19 prevention and control measures have been strictly implemented. All participating businesses and employees must have been injected with 2 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and have a negative PCR test within 48 hours prior to the launching of the event.
Sales participants and service staff at the fair will be tested every two days via rapid testing and they are required to commit not to participate in other activities outside the framework of the fair.
Unlike previous fairs, children under 12 years old and elderly people who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 are not allowed to visit the fair to ensure safety for such vulnerable residents.
A representative of the IPA of Thai Binh province said: Attending the fair, the Center made a list of participating members and businesses to register in advance with the Organizing Committee. All were vaccinated with 2 doses of vaccine and had negative PCR test papers. When going to the Fairgrounds area, the members strictly followed the Covid-19 prevention and control measures given by the Organizing Committee. The Center also recommends that members of the delegation only participate in sales at the Fair and commit not to participate in other activities outside the framework. This OCOP fair is an activity under the national program on trade promotion held in Quang Ninh province. This is also one of the activities to promote "Safe adaptation, flexibility, effective control of the Covid-19 epidemic and socio-economic stability, maintaining double-digit growth momentum in the province "; restoring and attracting intra-provincial tourists in the fourth quarter of 2021. At the same time, support domestic units and businesses to connect and consume products, serving the people's consumption needs in the new state of " Safe adaptation, safe production, safe living”.
