However, up to the present time consumption and export volume only reached about 74,000 tons. In which, estuarine oysters are 18,000 tons; Pacific oysters were 32,000 tons; 15,000 tons clam; 3,500 tons of shrimp; 2,900 tons of marine fish; 2,500 tons of freshwater fish.

The representative of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Ninh Province said that the reason for the slow consumption of this local seafood was due to the influence of the Covid-19 epidemic, which made it difficult to export to the Chinese market. towels. Along with that, many foreign markets have traceability and requirements for packaging labels, while fishermen have not met this.

Facing this situation, recently the Quang Ninh province government has launched a campaign "People in Quang Ninh use Quang Ninh products".

Mr. Bui Van Khanh, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, said that from now until the end of the year, this locality will organize a fair, in which priority is given to selling seafood products; organizing seafood festivals ... to stimulate market demand. In addition, the locality also calls on coal industry enterprises, industrial parks ... to give priority to using agricultural products of local people in the collective kitchen.
