Quang Ninh welcomes the first project of nearly half a billion USD

On the afternoon of March 31, Quang Ninh awarded the investment registration certificate to the Jinko Solar PV Vietnam photovoltaic cell technology project with a total investment of nearly 500 million USD in Song Khoai Industrial Park.

This is the first secondary investment project to invest in Song Khoai Industrial Park (IZ), and also the first secondary project to be granted an investment certificate since the Quang Ninh coastal economic zone (EZ). Yen was officially established (September 24, 2020).

The Jinko Solar PV Vietnam photovoltaic cell technology project is implemented by Jinko Solar Hong Kong Company. It is one of the largest and most advanced manufacturers of photovoltaic panels (solar cells) in the world. In 2019, this investor ranked first and holds 12.6% of the global market.

“In order to continue to expand the production area, JinkoSolar's survey team has visited Vietnam twice, starting in October 2020, and has conducted surveys in more than 20 provinces and cities, with more than 30 industrial zones. On the 28th of Lunar New Year 2021, the survey team went to Song Khoai Industrial Park, after analyzing and comparing with many other industrial parks, the company decided to choose Song Khoai Industrial Park in Quang Yen coastal economic zone of Quang Ninh province as the new production base in Vietnam”, shared Mr. Beyond Huang (Huang Jin Xing), Project Manager of Jinko Solar Vietnam.

The project has an investment capital of 11,499.86 billion VND (equivalent to more than 498 million USD), with a land use area of ​​32.6 hectares. This is a project in the field of industrial production, processing and manufacturing and is on the list of supporting industrial products prioritized for development promulgated together with Decree No. 111/2015/ND-CP of the Government. The project is also consistent with the goal of Resolution No. 01-NQ/TU dated November 16, 2020 of the Provincial Party Committee on rapid and sustainable development of the processing and manufacturing industry in the period of 2020-2025, orientations to 2030 and areas Quang Ninh province is interested in attracting investment.
