Quang Ninh won 10 medals at the Taekwondo Club Championship
The tournament taking place from April 7-14 was jointly organized by the National Sport Administration under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation, and the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam.
As many as 754 taekwondo athletes from 47 clubs in various provinces and cities across the country participated in the competition. These players compete in 92 categories at 3 age groups including 12 -14, 15 -17 and over 17.
The event not only assisted athletes in improving their professional competency but also acted as an opportunity for the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation to select excellent ones to join the national team which would partake in the 31st SEA Games hosted by Vietnam this year.
Quang Ninh delegation led by coach Nguyen Duc Long won 10 medals including 1 silver and 9 bronze ones. All of the male and female athletes come from the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center.
