Quang Yen: Focusing on site clearance work

Site clearance is one of the important tasks to ensure the effective implementation of key works and projects in particular, as well as to attract investment in the area in general. Therefore, in 2023, Quang Yen Town will continue to carry out this work with the highest spirit and responsibility.

  People heard about the plan to pay compensation and support site clearance to implement the project of Ha Long Xanh complex urban area.

In 2022, the site clearance work in Quang Yen has been implemented effectively. During the year, the whole town had 52 projects to be cleared with over 2,700ha of land acquired, nearly 8,000 households and organizations affected. The Center for Town Land Fund Development actively cooperated with the Fatherland Front and the town's socio-political organizations, specialized agencies and local authorities to organize 32 public conferences on public planning and implementation clearance of projects; conducting 45 dialogue meetings, mobilizing affected households to receive money and hand over the premises.

The Town Land Fund Development Center prepares and submits for approval 3,327 compensation and site clearance plans; coordinated payment of compensation and resettlement support for over 2,400 individuals and organizations whose land was recovered, with an amount of nearly VND 795 billion, handing over 452 hectares of land to the investor for project implementation. The town has completed 13 transition projects from 2021.

Entering the early days of 2023, Quang Yen Town immediately embarked on implementing solutions for land clearance of the remaining 39 projects. In which, continue to make payments to households according to the approved plan, and at the same time urge households to receive money and hand over the premises for transition projects.

For example, the riverside road project connecting Ha Long - Hai Phong expressway to Dong Trieu town (the section from Dam Nha Mac intersection to provincial road 338 - phase 1) has to recover about 65.67ha of land, affecting to 968 households and organizations. During the implementation of site clearance and project implementation, many difficulties were encountered, causing the implementation of compensation and site clearance to be prolonged. However, up to now, the Town Land Fund Development Center has handed over to the investor 33.27ha, equivalent to 6.63/11.5km of the route.

Mr. Vu Huu Thanh, Director of Yen Dong Agricultural and Service Cooperative, said: The cooperative has an area of land that must be recovered for site clearance. With the propaganda and mobilization of the authorities, mass organizations, we have agreed with the policy, as well as the compensation plan of the State for the project to be implemented and completed soon.
