SAMSUNG VIETNAM COMPLETES THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW R&D CENTER

In Tay Ho Tay urban area (Hanoi), Samsung Vietnam has officially completed the construction of the new R&D Center. At the same time, to show the determination to ensure safety and complete the work on schedule, a safety oath ceremony was also held.

Started in March 2020, up to now, the work has completed the rough part, equivalent to 70% of the work volume, thereby ensuring the construction on schedule so that the construction of the Research Center can be completed. New Research and Development of Samsung by the end of this year as committed to the Government of Vietnam.

Before that, in October 2020, the work had completed the foundation construction. In April 2021, the project reached 30% of the plan and started construction of the floating structure. By September 2021, 50% of the work has been completed.

Despite the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, Samsung Vietnam has ensured both compliance with strict disease prevention and control regulations and safety for the number of employees involved in construction. about 1,300 people per day.

Up to now, during the construction process, the project has not generated any labor accidents. Mr. Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam said: “Right after Samsung's new R&D Center project was started, it was also the time when the Covid-19 epidemic started to break out and complicated developments. The complexity in Vietnam makes the construction work also have certain difficulties.

Samsung Vietnam's new Research and Development Center has an investment of about 220 million USD, designed with 16 floors and 3 basements with a total construction area of ​​11,603 m2 and a floor area of ​​79,511 m2.
