Skoda studies and builds a car factory in Quang Ninh

(MPI) - On the afternoon of February 16, 2022, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc worked with Czech Ambassador to Vietnam Vítezslav Grepl and the Board of Directors of Skoda Joint Stock Company to discuss on cooperation and investment in an automobile manufacturing and assembly plant in Quang Ninh province.

Also attending the meeting were Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuong Van, Head of Quang Ninh Economic Zones Management Board Hoang Trung Kien, leaders of relevant units under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Vítezslav Grepl thanked Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc for taking the time to receive the delegation and said that Skoda Joint Stock Company is studying to invest in production lines and build a car factory. in Quang Ninh with the desire to bring positive impacts to the Vietnamese economy in general and Quang Ninh province in particular; brings the latest technology and is ready to contribute further to Vietnam's auto industry.
