Solutions for Uong Bi to attract investment and relocate the TTC facilities
According to the roadmap, by the end of 2020, Uong Bi city must complete the relocation of all handicraft establishments that cause environmental pollution or are not suitable for planning out of residential areas. If in previous years, this was a "difficult" problem for the locality because Uong Bi did not have concentrated industrial clusters, until now, this solution has gradually become clear. The wood processing facility of Mr. Bui Van Tap's family, Phuong Dong ward, Uong Bi city, is subject to relocation. According to the review results, Uong Bi had 174 handicraft establishments (small industries) that had to be relocated out of residential areas. However, for many years now, the city has not been able to relocate these facilities. The main reason is that there is no location. However, this difficulty has begun to be overcome because on March 9, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision 729/QD-UBND dated March 9, 2021 to establish the Cluster. Phuong Nam Industry, Phuong Nam Ward, Uong Bi City. This industrial cluster, in addition to the goal of attracting industrial establishments, industrial centers, industrial services... to invest in expanding production, is also a place to organize the relocation of SSI establishments that cause environmental pollution. or inconsistent with urban planning. It is expected that from the first quarter of 2022, the project will begin to attract secondary investors, and by the end of the fourth quarter of 2022, the project will complete the investment work as prescribed. The decision also assigns the People's Committee of Uong Bi City to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant departments and agencies in, guiding, inspecting and supervising investors in technical infrastructure construction of industrial clusters to implement steps in accordance with the law. At the same time, urgently develop a plan and approve a list of establishments that must be relocated in the area, as a basis for arranging establishments wishing to continue production and business into the industrial cluster. On the basis of the provincial directive, Uong Bi is currently actively implementing steps. On March 17, 2021, the City People's Committee submitted a report to 81/TTr-UBND asking for opinions from the Standing Board of the City Party Committee on the detailed construction planning plan of 1/500 scale of Phuong Nam Industrial Complex. Next, on March 22, 2021, the Steering Committee for the establishment of Phuong Nam Industrial Cluster decided to establish subcommittees to assist the steering committee. Accordingly, 4 sub-committees were established: Planning sub-committee; subcommittee on site clearance for construction; arrangement subcommittee, attracting secondary investors. |
