Uong Bi City: Accelerate disbursement of public investment capital

From the beginning of 2022 up to now, in addition to focusing on solving difficulties and problems related to site clearance, Uong Bi City has asked contractors to speed up the construction progress of works and projects, ensuring quality. The speeding up of projects helps the locality to soon complete the disbursement of public investment capital in 2022 in accordance with the direction of the province.

 

The extended Tran Hung Dao route connecting with the bypass route south of Uong Bi city (phase 1) has been completed 2.6km so far.

According to the 2022 plan, Uong Bi City is allocated more than 386 billion VND of capital for capital construction investment. In particular, the Management Board of Uong Bi City Construction Investment Project is allocated 242 billion VND to deploy 20 projects, including: 7 transitional works and 13 new construction works. Up to now, many projects of the Board as an investor have been promoted to accelerate progress, striving to complete according to the committed plan.

In April 2021, the extended Tran Hung Dao road connecting with the bypass route south of Uong Bi city (phase 2) was started. Previously, in November 2019, phase 1 of this project started to invest more than 1.5km. The total investment for the two phases of this project is 400 billion VND. This is one of the key projects of Uong Bi city. The scale of the route is more than 3km long, designed to build 6 lanes. For both phases, the project has completed construction of 2.6km. Taking advantage of favorable weather, the contractor mobilized manpower and equipment to speed up the construction progress of the QL18A intersection (Yen Thanh ward).

It is expected that by the end of December 2022, the project will be completed and put into operation. When put into use, this is a convenient transportation route, contributing to the development of land fund along both sides of the route, forming a new and civilized urban area; is one of the transport projects that plays a particularly important role in the plan to strengthen regional linkages of Quang Ninh, creating a land fund for urban development, service, industry... in the western region of the province. In addition, the extended Tran Hung Dao route connecting with the bypass route south of Uong Bi city is also invested in many items: sidewalks, trees, lighting, etc., contributing to the expansion of urban space in the area. In the south of the city, towards the goal that by 2025, Uong Bi will basically fulfill the criteria and criteria of a grade I city.
