Van Don: Businesses and investors meeting in 2021

On October 2, Van Don District People's Committee held a conference to meet businesses and investors in the district in 2021.

District People's Committee rewarded 16 enterprises with good production and business activities in 2021.

In the first 9 months of the year, before the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic got more complicated, the whole district had to implement social distancing, but the district still ensured economic development, the number of basic indicators increased over the same period. Total state budget revenue in the district is estimated at VND 1,247 billion in 9 months, reaching 138.1% of the 2021 estimate. Site clearance of key projects continues to receive concern. Planning management, construction management, land, natural resources and environment are strengthened. Culture - society and administrative reform have been effectively implemented. The implementation of the 2021 work theme on “Keeping safe areas and growth momentum in the new normal; speeding up development and perfecting a synchronous and modern socio-economic infrastructure system, promoting regional linkages” has been seriously implemented. Discipline, civil services, activities of the Center of Public Administration and the electronic portal of the district are well implemented. Political security, social order and safety are maintained.

Contributions and support to the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic in the area in 2021 of 44 units and individuals were appreciated by the District People's Committee.

Businesses have created stable jobs for about 5,280 people. The average income of employees is over 5.2 million VND/month. In 2021, the district has received a lot of help from businesses in actively participating in the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic such as support for testing, support for facilities...

Also at the conference, businesses and investors frankly exchanged and discussed difficulties and obstacles in production and business activities.

At the conference, Mr. Truong Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee reported the progress of construction and disbursement of public investment capital in the area to September 30, 2021. Then, launching the "90 days and nights" peak emulation phase to speed up the implementation of projects and disburse public investment capital in the district.

At the meeting, Mr. To Xuan Thao, Provincial Party Member, Secretary of the District Party Committee acknowledged the contributions of businesses in the economic development of the district. He also affirmed that the district will continue to direct all levels, branches, departments, divisions, units and local authorities to continue to create the most favorable conditions for enterprises to develop production and business, expand their scale, production and service industries, create jobs for local workers, actively contribute to the development of the district, together overcome difficulties of the Covid-19 epidemic. With the opinions of businesses and investors given at the conference, the district will transfer to relevant agencies to remove and resolve; ensuring the timeliness and efficiency for businesses and investors.
