Webinar "Vietnam - Thailand economic cooperation"

On September 23, the Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) coordinated with the Economic Zone Authority, Amata Ha Long Urban Joint Stock Company to attend the webinar " Vietnam - Thailand economic cooperation” organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand and the Thai Embassy in Vietnam.

In the context of the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, the world economy in general, Thailand and Vietnam in particular also suffered significant impacts. The webinar "Vietnam - Thailand economic cooperation" was held with the purpose of exchanging and offering solutions to economic cooperation problems between the two countries in the context of the development of the Covid-19 pandemic. Attendees and speakers include representatives of the Embassy of Thailand in Vietnam, the Embassy of Vietnam in Thailand, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and many experts, CEOs of Thai and Vietnamese businesses.

The webinar consisted of 2 discussion sessions, the attending speakers presented and shared the contents around the main topics including: Economic recovery policy of Vietnam - Thailand; Responding to the negative impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on business operations in Vietnam and Thailand; Digital economy and the driving force for future economic growth; Trade and investment situation in the context of the Covid-19 Pandemic...

The seminar is an opportunity to introduce and promote the image of Quang Ninh province in particular and Vietnam in general to Thai friends, especially the achievements achieved in administrative reform, protect the business investment environment; Quang Ninh province's policy of attracting and calling for investors, especially during the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic with Thai investors and businesses. In particular, this is also an opportunity for trade-economic agencies and organizations between the two countries to be invited to share, listen to initiatives, learn from each other's experiences to serve the work of advising and proposing solutions and policies to restore the economy, trade and investment amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
